Show Error/Information

The TeraStation can be monitored, and errors and information can be recorded in

the log using the procedure below.

Note:

WS-QL and WS-VL series TeraStations do not support this feature.

In the Map window, right-click the TeraStation, and select TeraStation

Functions - Show (Set) Error/Information.

Insert check marks for the items that you want to view and click OK.

Notes:

• Because a TeraStation is recorded in the log whenever it is detected, the setting

of Tools - Autoscan Periodically - Scan for New Devices is recommended.

• For lists of the logged errors and information, see "TeraStation Error List" (page 75)

and "TeraStation Information List" (page 78).

I'm Here

You can make the TeraStation play a sound using the procedure below. This is

useful for identifying a specic TeraStation when using multiple TeraStations.

Note:

When using the WS-QL and WS-VL series, the I'm Here function cannot be used in

an environment where they are participating in an Active Directory.

In the Map window, right-click the TeraStation and select TeraStation

Functions - I'm Here.

A sound is played from the TeraStation.
